1. Candidate seeking admission is required to apply through AP Online / TS Online only through nearest Mee-Seva centres. 2. Application is common for all courses. Selection Criteria

METHOD OF SELECTION FOR BACHELORS: i. Admissions are made based on the academic merit in the qualifying examination (Intermediate) in the Group subjects and no. of attempts. ii. In case of a tie, the order of preference to be followed in deciding the merit of the candidate, shall be : a. Total Marks secured in Group subjects + Languages. b. Elder person based on the date of birth in SSC certificate. Note: 1. The percentage of marks shall be calculated up to two decimal places. 2. In case of candidates passed in Inter Vocational examination, the marks secured in optional subjects shall be considered for the same speciality as per the eligibility (e.g., Inter Vocational Nursing to B.Sc - N). 3. The marks secured in the bridge course shall be considered for deciding merit, in case the candidate is opting for the course other than the speciality studied in Vocational stream. (e.g., Inter Vocational Nursing to B.Sc Paramedical) 4. Sliding from one course to another course is allowed in 1st year only *Seats will be filled by Medical Council Committee DGHS, Govt. of India for DM/ MCh courses. *Method of selection for Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) Courses: The qualified candidates will be called for assessment. The candidates will be selected (Based on viva- voce and interview). *Method of selection for Certificate Courses for Medical Graduates: The qualified candidates will be called for assessment. The candidates will be selected based on viva-voce and interview. *SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR PhD : a. The applications should be complete in all respects. Those applications which are incomplete shall be summarily rejected and the decision of the selection committee shall be final. b. A candidate who has qualified for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) via UGC – NET or UGC-CSIR NET and the specified period of validity for the award of JRF has not expired, need not appear for entrance test. Among all eligible candidates applying for PhD under a Chief Guide, the first preference in selection will be for those who possess any of the above JRFs. c. If the number of eligible applicant who have qualified for the above specified JRFs is more than the number of seats advertised for PhD under any given Chief Guide(s), then inter se merit among the applicants will be determined by an interview. d. For the PhD seats that are left over ( after the selection of eligible candidates with currently valid JRFs via UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET), an entrance examination , followed by an interview shall be the basis for selection from among the remaining candidates. Weightage shall be given 70% to the Entrance Examination and 30% to the interview in deciding the merit list. e. The Entrance Examination shall be conducted in two parts with 50 marks each. Part I shall be a common paper for all candidates and shall be on the subject of Research Methodology. Part II shall be in the concerned subject- based on the Department of Study applied for. f. The Entrance Examination shall be objective in type consisting of 100 questions (50 questions in Part I and another 50 in Part II ) in multiple choice questions (MCQ) format with one stem and four responses; with a single most appropriate response. Each question shall carry one mark. There shall be no negative marking. Time allocated shall be 3 hours for the entire paper. g. The minimum marks for qualifying in the entrance exam shall be 50%. A relaxation of 5% marks from 50% to 45% shall be shall be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-abled categories. h. Only those qualifying in the entrance examination shall be invited to appear for interview before the Selection Committee. If the number of candidates qualifying in the entrance examination is more, candidates may be short listed for the interview based entirely on their rank in the entrance examination to facilitate smooth conduct of the interview. i. Candidates shall attend the interview/ viva voce with a research proposal that has been discussed with and vetted by the Chief Guide indicated by them at the time of application. j. The final selection list will be notified and will be communicated to the successful candidates. The selected candidates are required to deposit their admission fees and undergo the medical examination before joining the course. Those found medically unfit to prosecute the course will not be permitted to join. The selected candidates must join within 15 days of date of communication of the result to him / her. However, further extension may be granted by Dean on a case to case basis based on the request of the candidate and recommendation of the Chief guide. The provisional registration shall come into effect from the date of joining. *Method of Selection for MSc Nursing: The selection is based on merit in the entrance test conducted by the University at B.Sc(N) standard. The test is conducted on 100 multiple choice questions. The duration of the examination shall be 90 minutes. In case equal marks are secured in the entrance test, the total marks in B.Sc (N) shall be taken into consideration for fixing the inter merit of the candidates.
