Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) is a public university which was established in 1976 and has been approved and recognised by UGC, AICTE, and NCTE respectively. VKSU is ranked among the top universities in Bihar, has established itself as a center for higher education and research in cutting-edge fields of science, humanities, and social sciences. There are 18 constituent colleges within the university, including H.D. Jain College, Maharaja College, and S.B. College, Ara. VKSU currently has 66 colleges affiliated to its Programs.
VKSU offers various UG, PG, and doctoral level courses in the disciplines of arts, science, commerce, law and humanities. Students seeking admission to courses here are admitted based on their performance in the entrance exam conducted by the University or based on their merit in their previous academic qualifications.
