National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, popularly known as NIMHANS, established in December 1974, is one of the best institutions for Mental Health and Neuroscience education in India. It is ranked as the 4th best medical institution in the country by NIRF Ranking 2020. NIMHANS offers a variety of courses for UG, Diploma, PG, PGDM, Super Speciality Medicine Courses, Fellowship, Ph.D. and Post-Doctoral Fellowship in various specializations. Admission is based on the merit obtained in the Entrance test conducted by NIMHANS.
The 26 departments at NIMHANS offer more than 50 courses under the category of UG, Diploma, PG, PGDM, Super Speciality Medicine Courses, Fellowship courses, PhD and Post-Doctoral Fellowship courses in numerous specializations. The admission to all these courses is based on the NIMHANS Entrance Test.
The Institutes conducts an Online entrance examination, NIMHANS entrance exam. The test consists of multiple choice objective type questions which a candidate need to solve in a duration of 90 minutes. There will be 100 MCQ type questions. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for an incorrect answer.
