Raja Mansingh Tomar Music and Arts University is a state-level university that is located in Gwalior. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities. It has more than 150 affiliated colleges.
The University comprises five faculties, namely the Faculty of Music, Faculty of Dance, Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Drama & Theatre and Faculty of Social Science.
This university offers a PhD programme in four different specialisations. PhD is offered with a minimum course duration of three years and a maximum of six. The University conducts its own entrance test, CRET for admission to its PhD programme.
