Shiksha-Shastri Entrance Test (SSET) - Entrance Test Details

Entrance Test:

For admission in to the course candidate must have to qualify the entrance test.

Number Of Seats: 50 (FIFTY)

Reservation Of Seats:
  • 80% and 20% of the total seats will be filled with the candidates who have come through traditional and general streams respectively, duly following the reservation norms (for SC / ST / PH candidates) in each stream.
  • 20% of seats in traditional stream will be reserved for the students of S.J.S.V.
  • If reserved seats remain vacant for non-availability of suitable candidates of concerned stream the seats may be allotted to the candidates of other category as the case may be.
Criteria For Submission Of Application Form:
  • Requisite qualifications as desired under -

    A candidate shall be eligible for admission in to the ShikshaShastri -B.Ed. course provided:
    The candidate passed Shastri / +3 (Arts) / B.A. or any equivalent examination there to from a recognized University/recognized examining body shall be eligible to take admission after qualifying the SSET(Shikshashastri Entrance Test) . Sanskrit as a subject for nontraditional stream i.e. +3 (Arts), B.A. etc. as desired is mandatory. A cut off mark of 50% (without F.C. & A.C.) in Shastri / +3 (Arts) level in aggregate is essential. Relaxation of 5% marks for S.C./ S.T. candidates is allowed.
  • Candidates whose examination results are awaited may also apply. They will be considered if qualified subject to submitting proof of acquiring desired qualification at the time of counseling for the purpose.
  • Eligible in-service person may also apply through proper channel with no objection certificate from the competent authority .

Submission Of Application Form:
  • Duly filled in application form along with necessary enclosures should be sent to The Principal, ShikshaShastri-B.Ed, Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Shri Vihar, Puri, Odisha, Pin-752003 only by Regd. / Speed Post within stipulated date.
  • In-service candidates are required to send an advance copy of no objection certificate so as to reach the mentioned addressee on or before the last date of receipt of application.
Enclosures:
  • Self attested copies of certificates & mark sheets of the qualifying examinations.
  • The documentary evidence in support of the reserved categories.
  • Three recent pass port size photographs duly attested. One should be pasted on application form, one on identity card, and one on the admit card.

  • Money receipt of online payment of Rs.800/- (Rupees eight hundred) only mentioning full name of the candidate on the back side of the money receipt.
Rejection Of Application Form:
  • Incomplete and incorrect filled in or late received application form will be rejected.
  • Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
  • In case of detection of any wrong information will stand for rejection.
Mode Of Evaluation :

The Shiksha Shastri-B.Ed is a professional course for Sanskrit teachers. Therefore :

  • Securing at least 35%(18 marks out of 50 marks) marks for SC & ST students and 40% (20 marks out of 50 marks) marks for others in Sanskrit Language proficiency i.e. Group- A .
  • An aggregate of 53 marks for SC & ST students and 60 marks for others in all groups will be qualified for SSET(Group ‘A’ to ‘E’).
Design Of Question Paper Of SSET :
  • The Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (SSET) will consist of question papers in the shape of Multiple Choice and the O.M.R Sheet will be provided for answer .
  • Full mark : 150
  • Each question contains one mark.
  • While answering each question , darken only one of the four circles with Blue/Black Pen

For each question, four choices of the answer shall be provided. Out of these only one will be the correct answer. If more than one answers are marked against any question, it will be treated as wrong and no mark will be awarded for such an answer. All the questions will be in Sanskrit language.

Examination Centre

The venue and other details for the Entrance Test will be communicated with the admit card and in University Website.

Admit Card

The Admit Card will be uploaded in the University website on dated 20/06/2022. The candidates has to download the admit card and bring a printout of the same to the examination hall. He/she has to bring a proof of identity to the examination hall along with admit card.

Disqualification For Examination (SSET)
  • Candidates using unfair means getting external help or helping others or indulging in indiscipline in the test will be simply disqualified and the judicial action may also be initiated.
  • In case of mismatch of photo then the suspension from exam / cancellation of admission or any other legal action will be taken against the candidates. For any such inconvenience, the candidates will be himself/herself responsible
  • In spite of instruction given in the body of Admit Card if a candidate wishes to take mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices inside the examination premises will be disqualified to appear at the examination.
  • Reaching at examination centre after scheduled time, without having Admit Card in the examination hall and showing misbehavior in the examination hall be debarred from appearing the Exam.

Shri Jagannath Sanskrit University, Shri Vihar, Puri will conduct SHIKSHASHASTRI-B.ED Entrance test SSET-2022 for two years Shikshashastri- B.Ed programme on 26th June 2022 from 10: 00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at specified centres

Important Dates

1. The receipt of application form - from 25/04/2022 to 24/05/2022
2. The duly filled application form should be reached to the office of the Principal, Shikshashastri- B.Ed. on or before - 24/05/2022. At 5:00 P.M.
3. Issue of Admit card through online – 20/06/2022
4. Date of Entrance Examination (SSET) -26/ 06 / 2022.
