Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu Common Entrance Test (SKUAST-J CET) - Eligibility Requirements of SKUAST-J CET

Candidates having a valid Domicile Certificate of Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh are eligible for seeking admission to all the undergraduate and postgraduate Programmes.

For admission to Undergraduate prograrnme in Biotechnology, candidates from outside Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh can also apply.

The candidates hailing from states other than Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh can seek admission under Non-Resident Indian (NRI)/ NRI sponsored quota for B.V,Sc. & A.H./ B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture /B. Tech. Agril. Engineering and against Self Financing seats for Postgraduate courses under All India basis category only.

For Undergraduate programmes, candidate must be 17 years old on or before 31.12.2022.

Candidates who have appeared in Higher Secondary Part II (12th or 1O+2) are also eligible to apply provided they produce their Higher Secondary Part II (12th or 10 + 2 mark sheet issued by competent examining body at the time of counselling, and fulfill all the above prescribed requirements to be eligible for admission to Undergraduate programmes.

For Postgraduate programrnes, candidate not below 19 years of age, as on 31-12-2O22, is eligible to appear in the examination. No relaxation is admissible regarding the minimum age limit.

The candidate must have passed have appeared at the final examination and likely to get awarded the degree on or before the counselling date as mentioned in the brochure to be eligible for admission to Postgraduate programmes.

1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General Category and 40% for Reserved category in the following subjects:
1. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English.
2. Agriculture with Science subjects and English.

2. B.V.Sc. & AH
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for General Category and 40% for Reserved category in the following subjects:
1. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English.

3.B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board /University with not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the following subjects:-
1. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English

4. M.Sc.(Agri.) & Allied Sciences
1. Bachelor’s degree in the respective/related subjects.
2. 6.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage(60%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for General category candidates.
3. 5.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage(55%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for Reserved categories.

5. M.V.Sc.
1.Bachelor’s degree in the respective/related subjects
2.6.00/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage(60%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for General category candidates.
3.5.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage(55%) of marks at Bachelor’s degree for Reserved categories.

6. Ph.D (Agriculture/Vety.)
1.Master’s degree in respective/related subjects
2.6.50/10.00 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of Marks at Master’s Degree for General category
3.6.00/10.00 or equivalent percentage of marks at Master’s Degree for SC/ST/PH category candidates.
