Gulbarga University M.Phil And PhD Entrance Test - Admssion Procedure

Admission to the M.Phil Program shall be through an entrance examination consisting of written test and interview conducted by the University. However, the candidates who are qualified for JRF Fellowship/UGC-NET/JRF, UGC-CSIR-NET/JRF, SLET, GATE, Teacher Fellowship & Research Fellowship From Central & State Government Departments/Funding Agencies as approved by University shall be exempted from the Entrance test.

Admission to Ph.D programme shall be through an entrance examination consisting of written test and interview conducted by the University. However candidates who have qualified JRF fellowships/UGC-NET/JRF, UGC-CSIR-NET/JRF, SLET, GATE, teacher fellowship and research fellowships from central (DST-Inspire Fellowship, RGNF, MAF and other Fellowships in sponsored projects) and state Government departments agencies as approved by the University, as the case may be, shall be exempted from the Entrance test. The candidates who have cleared the M.Phil, with course work examination with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) as per UGC guidelines-2016, and successfully completed the M. Phil course are also exempted from the Entrance examination.
