Rules Of Reservation For Admission Into Under-Graduate And Post-Graduate Programs
  • JNAFAU being a state wide institution, region wise reservation of seats is applicable in admissions, as under based on the procedure and quotas envisaged under Article 371-D of the Constitution of India. Admission into 85% of seats in each Program shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to three local areas in the state specified namely. Andhra University Area (Andhra), Osmania University Area (Telangana), Sri Venkateswara University Area (Rayalaseema)
  • In the ratio of 42:36:22 respectively and the balance of 15% seats shall be unreserved seats. The statutory rules of reservation as per State Government are applicable as under
  • SC/ST/BC Categories
    SC – 15%
    ST – 6%
    BC-A -7%
    BC-B -10%
    BC-C -1%
    BC-D – 7%
    BC –E – 4%
  • Special categories (Horizontal reservation in each category)
    PH – 3% (each disability 1%)
    CAP – 2%
    NCC – 1%
    Sports 0.5 %
  • Reservation for women 33 1/3 % of seats reserved for woman candidates in each Program and in each category (OC/SC/ST/BC).
  • 5% supernumerary seats of the approved intake in each program will be meant for students of other states under National Integration category. Admissions in this quota will be applicable only to those candidates who write the Fine Arts and Design Entrance Examination -2023.
  • 10% supernumerary seats of the approved intake in each program will be meant for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
  • Note: The region wise reservation ratio may be modified based on amendments notified by the government subsequently.
