Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Exam (CSKHPKV EE) - Selection Criteria

Selection Criteria:

1. The candidate seeking admission to Undergraduate Programmes {B.V.Sc. & A.H./ B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/B.Tech.(Food Technology), Masters’ Programmes {M.V.Sc./M.Sc. Ag./ M.Sc. Basic Sciences/M.Sc. Community Science} and Doctoral Programmes {Veterinary & Animal Sciences/ Agriculture/Community Science}, the candidates shall first of all have to fill the online application form at the University Website http://hillagric.ac.in alongwith all the requisite certificates/documents relating to admission as mentioned in Counseling proforma (Annexure IX) to be uploaded on the University website.

2. All the candidates seeking admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme must have to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance test NEET(UG) -2022; for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Tech.(Food Technology) programmes in the ICAR AIEEA (UG)-2022; for Master’s Programmes in ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2022 and for Doctoral Programmes in ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) except NRIs/OCIs/Foreign Nationals/Inservice/PMSSS for UT of J & K and Ladakh candidates. The admission shall be purely on the basis of merit score of respective entrance tests and there will be no minimum cut-off marks in in the said entrance tests for applying to these programmes.

3. The NRI/OCI and Foreign National category candidates are advised to go through the rules and regulations for admission of NRI/OCI and Foreign National category candidates mentioned in the Information Brochure & Prospectus and their application must reach in the office of the Registrar, CSKHPKV, Palampur 176062 by the last date for receipt of such application forms failing which the candidature of the Foreign National/NRI/OCI will not be considered.

4. A candidate shall have to mention his/her personal details (name, father’s name, mother’s name as mentioned in NEET(UG)-2022/ ICAR AIEEA(UG)-2022/ ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2022/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF(Ph.D.)-2022; programme applied for; category particulars (such as General, etc.) correctly while submitting the Online Application Form. The candidature of the candidate will only be considered against the specific category for admission as he/she has applied for the said category at the time of filling Online Application Form for the respective programme. The candidate will be required to present the proof of reserve category as claimed by him/her in original for verification at the time of counseling-cum-admission.

5. In addition to the candidate’s own category, the candidate can also opt for Self-financing seat by paying the additional fee for self-financing seat(s) of the programme at the time of filling online application form. Further, if the candidate does not opt for self-financing seat at the time of filling online application form, his/her candidature for self-financing seat will not be considered for admission in SFS category even at the time of admission through final round of counseling/mop-up round.

6. The Non-HP Bonafide candidates can only apply for self-financing category seat(s).

7. Where two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the respective entrance test, their merit will be decided on the basis of rank in the respective entrance tests as declared by NTA for admission to the respective programme. In the eventuality of same rank, the merit would be decided on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks obtained in the concerned subjects of the qualifying examination. If there is still a tie, then the candidate older in age will be considered higher in the merit.

8. The candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination with requisite subjects (even if result is yet to be declared) can also apply, however, such candidates will be considered for admission on merit score of the respective entrance tests provided they fulfill the eligibility conditions and produce all the original documents including the original marks sheet/PDC/proof of completion of qualifying degree duly countersigned by the Registrar at the time of document verification failing which their candidature will not be considered.

9. The online application form details furnished by the candidate shall be freezed immediately after the last date fixed for submission of the online application form and the candidate shall not have any access to the said details submitted by him/her. This submission will generate a receipt of partial successful submission of the online application form to the applicant. The receipt will show in the profile of candidates, the pending action for providing NEET (UG)-2022 /ICAR AIEEA (UG)-2022/ ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2022/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 Roll number, total marks obtained and about uploading of the score card of respective entrance tests.

10. As soon as the NEET (UG)-2022 / ICAR AIEEA (UG)-2022/ ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2022/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 result is declared, the University will issue a notification on its website for the candidates to complete the online application process by providing the information with respect to 1) Roll Number issued by the National Testing Agency, 2) Total Marks obtained and 3) ALL INDIA RANK/OVERALL RANK obtained by the candidate in NEET (UG)-2022 / ICAR AIEEA (UG)-2022/ ICARAIEEA (PG)-2022/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 and by uploading the 4) SCORE CARD of respective Entrance Test. All the candidates must complete the said process within the stipulated time failing which his/her right for admission to the programme(s) shall stand forfeited and no correspondence in this regard will be made. The candidates must ensure that he/she has furnished the correct 1) Roll Number issued by the National Testing Agency, 2) Total Marks obtained and 3) ALL INDIA RANK/OVERALL RANK obtained in NEET (UG)-2022 / ICAR AIEEA (UG)-2022/ ICAR AIEEA (PG)-2022/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF (Ph.D.)-2022 in his/her online application form failing which his/her candidature for admission will not be considered and the individual will be solely responsible for it. At this time, no candidate shall be allowed to rectify/add/modify their information/particulars already filled in their online application form.

11. The competent authority shall reserve the right to reject any admission form with reasons to be recorded in writing.

12. The allocation of seats will be through online mode in different counseling-cum-admissions rounds and the details will be available on university website from time to time. It will be the sole the candidate’s responsibility to remain in touch with the university website for regular updates with regard to admission process/counseling/mop-up rounds once the NEET/ ICAR AIEEA/ ICAR AICE-JRF/SRF results are declared. No separate letter will be issued in this regard.

13. The University will issue the category wise provisional Select/Waiting list of the shortlisted candidates for admission to the respective programme in order of merit subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria on the University Website http://hillagric.ac.in before the start of counseling process which will be purely temporary. If any candidate has any objection or finds that his/her name is missing in the said shortlisted list, he/she will be free to point out the same within 48 hours by writing to the Registrar, CSK HPKV, Palampur through e-mail contactpetcskhpkv@gmail.com by mentioning his/her application number and name failing which no claim/representation of the candidate will be entertained thereafter. After verification the objection, if any, raised/pointed out by the candidate(s), the final provisional select list/waiting list for counseling-cum-admission to the respective programme will be issued separately which shall also be available on the University Website http://hillagric.ac.in containing all the instructions/procedure for counseling-cum-admission to the programme. If any correction/error is noticed during verification, the same shall also be rectified by the University for which no objection will be entertained. This will be followed by counseling-cum-admission rounds.

14. The allocation of seats shall be through online mode and available on the University Websitehttp://hillagric.ac.in. The provisional select list for 1st Counseling-cum-Admission for all categories excluding SFS seats for admission to the respective programme containing all instructions will be issued and available on the University Website http://hillagric.ac.in. Thereafter, the provisional select list for 2nd Round of Counseling-cum-Admission to the respective programme for Self Financing Seats and to fill the seats remained vacant of any category in 1st Round of Counseling-cumAdmission will immediately be issued after the 1st Round of Counseling-cum-Admission. Similarly, if there still remain vacant seat(s) of any category, the provisional select list for 3rd Round of Counseling-cum-Admission to the respective programme for the respective category will be issued. The candidate shall have to check his/her name in the respective provisional select list of the concerned Round of Counseling-cum-Admission for the programme and shall have to appear before the Counseling-cum-Admission Committee on the scheduled date, time and venue for the respective Round of Counseling-cum-Admission for document verification and other admission formalities in person failing which his/her right for admission including in the subsequent round of Counselingcum-Admission for the respective programme shall be forfeited. The information regarding these counseling-cum-admission rounds shall be displayed on the university website from time to time. No correspondence in this regard will be made. Therefore, the candidates are advised to remain in touch with the University website. However, such candidates shall be eligible to appear in the final round of counseling/mop-up round for admission on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

15. The candidates shall have to pay fees and other charges except hostel charges at the time of counseling-cum-admission otherwise the seat will be declared vacant and his right for admission shall stand cancelled and he/she will not be eligible for admission through subsequent counseling(s). Also, if any candidate remains absent at the time of document verification, fee deposition, the seat will be presumed to be vacant. Further, if a candidate refuses to accept admission at his/her own turn, he/she shall lose his/her right for admission to the programme. However, such candidates can appear in the final round of counseling/mop-up rounds of the respective programme.

16. For the process of verification of documents, the candidates shall have to show Admit Card of respective Entrance Test alongwith all the original certificates/documents relating to admission to the Counseling-cum-Admission Committee at the time of Counseling-cum-admission and also to submit the counseling proforma at Annexure-IX duly filled in all respects, to be downloaded from the University website alongwith two copies of recent his/her photograph alongwith two sets of self-attested photocopies of the certificates/documents relating to admission, at the time of document verification, failing which the candidate shall have no right for admission to the programme.

17. After verification of documents including medical fitness certificate as per Annexure IV, the candidates shall deposit the fees and other charges on the same day in the office of the concerned Dean to complete the admission process on the same day.

18. If a candidate vacates the seat, he/she shall have to give in writing and also request for refund of fee deposited by him with the University. In such cases, the fee will be refunded to him/her as per University rules.

19. In case the seats remained vacant/fall vacant after the round of counseling-cum-admission, the University may conduct the final round of counseling/mop-up round as per mode of admission, if required. For this, all the candidates who appeared in the respective entrance test and filled the online application form with requisite fee for admission to the respective programme(s) of this University will only be entitled to appear for final round of counseling/mop-up round for admission to the respective programme. In case the seats of In-service nominees, NRI/OCI/ Foreign National candidates, Wards of Kashmiri Migrant and Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu families (non-migrants), PMSSS for UT of J & K and Ladakh also remains vacant at the time of final round of counseling/mop-up round (up to 11 AM), such seat(s) shall be converted to Self Financing Seat(s) and shall be filled up on the spot at the time of final round of counseling/mop-up round.

20. The record of the candidates who are not admitted even during the last round of counseling/mop-up round shall be destroyed after six months barring those related to the court cases, if any, and the record related to admission process/counseling shall be destroyed after six months after the last round of counseling/mop-up round except the record of any pending court case.
