Banasthali Vidyapith Aptitude Test (BVAT) - Application, Reservation and Credits

Application Procedure:

The aptitude test for admission in B.Tech/B.Pharm./MBA and B.Ed. program will be conducted through online mode. The candidate can appear in the Aptitude test using a mobile phone, desktop/laptop with a webcam, and headset/earphone from her home.

Note: Aptitude Test of Music will be based on practical Performance in which the candidate should prepare one slow khyal and one fast khyal with the accompaniment of tabla and the basic theoretical knowledge of Music.

  • Option 1:
    For obtaining the prospectus and application form, send a DD/IPO for Rs.800/- in favor of "Banasthali Vidyapith" payable at Banasthali/Jaipur to:

  • Option 3:
    Online submission of application is also possible on the University website www.banasthali.org Separate form is to be filled for each programme one wishes to apply for. To apply for B.Tech. (CSE/CS-AI/EC/EI/EE/ IT /BT/CE/MT) only one form is to be filled The completely filled form must reach the Vidyapith by the deadlines as given on the inner cover of the brochure. It is mandatory that carefully filled OMR/ICR application form accompanies the main application form without which it will not be possible to process the application.
Admissions Process:
  • Admission to various Courses of Banasthali Vidyapith is mostly based on the merit of the qualifying examination and the performance in personal interview. The relative weightage of the percentage marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in personal interview is 8:2. The minimum eligible percentage of marks for the qualifying examination is given along with the other details of the relevant course. Applicant must also have obtained the minimum threshold marks in personal interview as well. There is a provision for entrance examination for select courses. The merit list for admission to these courses is prepared based on percentage of marks in the qualifying examination entrance examination and personal interviews (cum Group Discussion) having a relative weightage 4:4:2. Tentative dates for the entrance examinations for these courses is given on the inside of back cover. Banasthali reserves the right not to offer any particular course/ specialization.
  • The aptitude test for admission in B.Tech/B.Pharm./MBA/LL.M./B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programme will be conducted through online mode. The candidate can appear in the Aptitude test using mobile phone, desktop/laptop with webcam and the headset/earphone from her home.
  • The students passing the qualifying examination from Banasthali Vidyapith shall be given direct admission to select UG and PG courses.
  • In select courses, the following credit points are provided while preparing the final merit list (Please see the end of the page).
  • For point 6 the candidate must enclose the certificate issued by Establishment Section (Karmik Anubhag) of Banasthali Vidyapith.
Notes:
  • The maximum total credit point awarded under category No. 1-4, will not be greater than 5%. If in addition the credit points are also awarded under category Nos. 5-6, the total will not be greater than 7%.
  • Old students who have passed the last examination from Banasthali University and have studied in Banasthali for a period of 5 years or less will be awarded 5% credit points and for every additional year 1% credit, will be given.
  • Maximum Credit Points that may be awarded under all categories is 10%
Reservation Seats:

As per the following details the ratio of reserved seats shall be the same as the ratio in the total seat allocation in all courses:

  • Scheduled Caste 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe 7½%
  • Physically Handicapped 3%

  • Candidate whose mother or sister has studied or is studying in Banasthali.- 5
  • Candidate whose guardian(s) has/have worked or is/are working in Banasthali.- 5
