Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) - Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility:
  • Applying students must be Indian nationals or OCI/ PIO to be eligible to apply.
  • Candidate must belong to Telangana/ AP state and satisfy local/ non -local status as mentioned by Telangana/ AP Educational Institutions.
Course Wise Eligibility:
For Engineering:
  • For Engineering, candidates must have passed Intermediate (12th) in the field of Engineering/ Technology or its equivalent conducted by BIE Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
  • Students must have passed with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses. OR
  • Students must have passed or appeared in final year of diploma exam in Engineering organized by SBTET, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
  • There is no upper age limit. Candidates must have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the admission year (2023).
  • However, in the case of B.Tech. (Dairy Technology), B.Sc. (Agrl.Engg), B.Tech. (Agrl. Engineering) & B.Tech. (FS & T), students must have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December of the year of admission (2023). The upper age limit is 22 years for all the candidates (25 years for ST/ SC) as of 31st December 2023.
  • Candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects specified taken together in the qualifying examination.
For Pharmacy:
  • For Pharma D, students must have passed/ appeared Intermediate (12th) with PCM as optional or its equivalent recognized by BIE Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana. OR
  • Students must have passed or appeared in final year of diploma exam in Pharmacy organized by SBTET, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
  • Candidates must have obtained 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
  • Applying candidates must have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December 2023. There is no upper age limit.
For Agriculture/Medical/Pharma-D:
  • Candidates must have passed their 12th level exam from a recognized board or university of AP/ Telangana.
  • Applying students must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2023. The upper age limit is 22 years for all the candidates (25 years for SC/ ST) as on 31st December 2023.
  • For Pharma D, students must have passed/ appeared Intermediate (12th) with PCM as optional or its equivalent recognised by BIE Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana. OR
  • Students must have passed or appeared in final year of diploma exam in Pharmacy organized by SBTET, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
