Academy of Maritime Education and Training common entrance test (AMET CET) - Eligibility of Post Graduate Level Programmes

M.B.A. Shipping & Logistics Management:
  • Any degree from a recognized University with 50 % marks or
  • Mariners holding the following professional qualification obtained after a minimum duration of study cum-training of 6 years after 10+2 leading to:
  • Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency or First Class Motor or Steam or Combined Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, or its counterparts in other countries.
M.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering:
  • Under Graduate Degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Building, Petroleum, Marine Engineering, Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, Production & Industrial Engineering.
M.E. Petroleum Engineering:
  • B.E. Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, M.Sc. Geology, M.Sc. Geophysics.
M.E –Thermal and Fluid Engineering:
  • Pass with a minimum of 60% in B.E./B. Tech in any one of the under-mentioned programmes or equivalent qualifications: Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering.
M.E. in Power Systems:
  • BE degree in Electrical and Electronics Engg, Electronics and Communication Engg, Electronics and Instrumentation Engg, Instrumentation and Control Engg, Electrical and Electronics Engg-Marine, Marine Engg, Naval Arch and Offshore Engg, Ocean Engg, Petroleum Engg, Harbour Engg.
M.Sc Marine Biotechnology:
  • Bachelors Degree in Science (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics tech), Agriculture and Medicine with minimum 55% marks and Life Sciences/Biology as Main/Ancillary subject.
