Eligibility Criteria:
The criteria for admission to any of the UG Programmes in Cluster University of Jammu is 10+2 pass from a recognized board as per University Statutes.
MAJOR IN SOCIAL SCIENCE/HUMANITIES:
The admission to Social Science/Humanities Major shall be open to a candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary Part-II examination (10+2 Pattern) of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

No candidate will offer Mathematics / Applied Mathematics for Arts Major Course unless he / she has qualified the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2 pattern)
examination with Mathematics. -
No candidate will opt Statistics for Arts Major unless he / she has qualified the Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2 pattern) examination with Mathematics / Business

MAJOR IN SCIENCE, MATHEMATICAL SCIENCE:
Admission to Science Major shall be open to a candidate who has passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination (10+2 Pattern) of Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Science Stream. Except in the case of Geology & Geography no candidate for Science, Mathematical Science Major examination, shall take up any subject unless he had taken up same subject in Higher Secondary Part-II of 10+2 pattern oran equivalent examination, provided that a candidate has passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination with-

Biology based subjects in Hr. Sec. Part II will be eligible to take up Botany or Zoology or Biotechnology in Science Major.

Mathematics and Physics as subjects in Hr. Sec Part II will be eligible to take up Electronics in Mathematical Science Major.

No candidate will offer Mathematics / Applied Mathematics for B.Sc. Semester-I Course unless he/she has qualified Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2 pattern) examination with Mathematics.

MAJOR IN COMMERCE:
The admission to Commerce Major shall be open to a candidate who has passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination (10+2 Pattern) of Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Commerce stream.
A candidate after having passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination in stream other than Commerce stream with atleast 50% Marks in the aggregate shall be allowed to

MAJOR IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (B.B.A):
Admission to Business Administration Major, shall be open to those candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination (under 10+2 pattern) of J&K State Board of School Education or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto and has obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate points in the qualifying examination in case of General Category candidates and 45% Marks in case of SC/ST candidates.
MAJOR IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS (B.C.A):
Admission to Computer Applications Major shall be open to those candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination (under 10+2 pattern) of J&K State
Board of School Education or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto with Mathematics as one of the elective subjects and has obtained not less
than 50% of the aggregate points in the qualifying examination in case of General Category and 45% Marks in case of SC/ST candidates.

MAJOR IN HOME SCIENCE:
Admission to Home Science Major, shall be open to a candidate who has passed Higher Secondary Part-II examination (10+2 pattern) of Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with full Home Science or Home Science or Science (Medical / Non- Medical) as a subject(s).
Eligibility Criteria for PG course :
MA in English:
Graduation (Arts, Science or Commerce stream) from a recognized university or equivalent.
MA in Music (Vocal & Instrumental):
Graduation from a recognized university or equivalent, in the stream of Music, or Music as an elective / additional subject
MA in Mathematics:
B.Sc (Hons.) or BA/B.Sc with Mathematics as an elective, from a recognized university or equivalent
M.Sc in Food Science & Technology:
Graduation from a recognized university or equivalent, with Food Science & Quality Control as an elective subject or B.Sc. Home Science / Medical as full stream
M.Sc in Goology:
B.Sc.(Hons.) / B.Sc. examination with Geology as one of the elective subjects, from a recognized university or equivalent
M.Sc in Mathematics
B.Sc (Hons.) or BA/B.Sc with Mathematics as an elective, from a recognized university or equivalent
M.Sc in Textile and Apparel Science:
B.Sc Home Science or BA with Home Science as an elective, from a recognized university or equivalent
